Lesson 15: Talking About Work
1:00 MIN LESSON

Welcome to your one-minute English lesson on talking about work! First, let’s learn some key vocabulary.

A 👨‍⚕️ doctor works in a hospital, a 👨‍🍳 chef works in a restaurant, and a 👨‍🏫 teacher works in a school. What about you? Where do you work?

Now, let’s master prepositions. We say:

  • 📍 “I work in a hospital,” for the place.
  • 🏢 “I work for a large company,” for the employer.
  • 👥 “I work with patients,” for the people or things you handle.
  • 💻 “I work at a desk,” for your specific location.

Finally, let’s talk about verb tenses. Use the Present Simple for your regular duties: “I answer emails every morning.”

Use the Present Continuous for temporary projects: “This week, I’m preparing a special report.”

Practice these, and you’ll sound more professional in no time! For more lessons like this, make sure to subscribe. Thanks for watching!”

💡 Practice Tip: Try saying your job title using these 4 prepositions!
